Nurturing growth for a strong educational foundation. Our Little Angels classrooms are places of engagement and wonder for the hearts and minds of very young children to grow in all areas: social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual. This is much more than just daycare; we’re committed to doing everything possible to support our community. It starts with a healthy, safe environment when your child is away from home. We have closely followed guidance from the NDC, as well as state and local authorities, to enhance and strengthen our existing rigorous procedures.
We offer developmentally appropriate programs and specialized curriculum for infants to school-age students. They learn to ask questions, solve problems, respect themselves, and care responsibly for others.
Pre-Kindergarten is where it all begins. Children are born to be curious about everything and the desire to learn, it is
our responsibility to keep that curiosity alive and nurture it. ACCS provides a safe place and supportive atmosphere, which enables children to think, create and question freely. Emphasizing the building-block skills of reading, writing, social studies, and math, the curriculum inspires children to be active, engaged learners. No matter what subject the children are exploring, teachers blend academic and personal growth in activities that foster a love of learning and strong self-esteem.
In addition to its emphasis on social and emotional development, our prekindergarten program offers our students instruction in language, literacy, math, and numeracy. The curriculum also includes special subjects such as Spanish, art, science, engineering, library, and music/creative movement. These classes are taught by special subject teachers in both the homerooms of the Emi-Leigh Hall and in locations outside the regular classroom.
The Kindergarten program is a special place where children engage their hearts and minds in their learning every day. The program is designed to meet the developmental needs of children through purposeful play and inquiry-based exploration. The learning environment is arranged for children to make choices and to learn responsibility for maintaining the classroom as well as the materials .Responsive Classroom strategies for social-emotional learning are used to create and promote a cooperative community culture where children are involved in the creation of, and thus invested in, setting the rules and resolving disputes. The social curriculum is as important as the cognitive curriculum, and it is the relationship forged with the teacher and among the children that best fosters key pre-social skills.
